As an entrepreneur, we have to dig the well daily to drink the water. I had started chasing some of the business opportunities around two month back and in the last month, it seemed, all the efforts are nearing positive closure. It put me in a very tight situation, where due to lack of resources to complete all the job together, I will be required to make a choice among many. Though the situation of aplenty may sound good to ears, but when you have worked hard on every prospect, then you don’t want to leave any of them. So to avoid this kind of situation, I started waiting for the option which is supposed to give me better financial return and pray for others to not to turn positive for me. This situation of doldrums continued for sometime and I started wasting time on some wishful calculation of positive and negative turnout of results. I am habitual of sudden realization of my confused mental state and running to Himalayas, river Ganges and Shakti Peeth and Sidhdha Peeth ( revered temples of Maa Durga) for peace and answer. Haridwar and Rishikesh is one of the place among them. While I was looking for a way out and answer, I friend of mine bounced the idea of coming to Haridwar and Rishikesh and I immediately agreed. We took the train and landed on the soil of Haridwar and my quest for searching the answer started. I strolled to the bank of river Ganges with my friend. We were sitting there and chatting, but my mind was stuck somewhere else; looking for the answer of my dilemma and lo, I got the answer:
1) I was postponing my action of today for unseen result of tomorrow. What if, whatever I am waiting for, does not materialize, then what will I do? I will end up losing whatever I have today for unseen future. So, I have decided that after reaching to Delhi, I will start focusing back on my today than waiting for tomorrow.
2) Tomorrow is byproduct of all the actions put together today. Science and religion both says that for something to happen, something has to happen first, like some effort, and nothing happens in void. So, if I want a positive result tomorrow, I will have to put positive effort today; it will not land up automatically in my lap.
3) A task is not complete until it is complete. The assignments, whose results I am waiting for to turn positive for me, have some part or other left to be completed and I think that the left out parts are well within my reach to finish. But who knows that the day when I will be asked to complete that part, I may not fall sick or I may not get into any other pressing priority or I may just not perform the way I am expecting. And if I do not complete the task it has to be completed, then my wishful thinking will really become wishful thinking only and nothing else.
4) Goal is important but equally important is effort to achieve that goal. Unless you complete the effort to achieve what you have aspired to achieve, you won’t be able to achieve what you have aspired to achieve.
I will be go back to Delhi in two days and I will be going back with the answer, which I knew earlier also, but just need a re-affirmation.
